Beruria Steinmetz-Silber just graduated from the University of Chicago where she majored in Philosophy. Before coming to UChicago, she learned in Migdal Oz for two years. At UChicago, she co-founded Kolei HaKol, a trans-denominational minyan at the Hillel, where she also served as a student representative on the Board of Directors for two years. Additionally, she was the Vice-President of Chicago Friends of Israel and started Team Chessed, a group dedicated to providing information about chesed opportunities in the Chicagoland area. Beruria will be spending a month in Uganda this summer where she will be teaching Hebrew, English and Judaism and volunteering in the coffee fields and chicken farm.
