Ela Anna NaegeleYale University Track 3: Seminar Leader Alan Mittleman Ela Anna Naegele (Yale University) was born and raised in Freiburg and graduated in 2009 from the humanistic Berthold Gymnasium with prizes in German, History, Latin, Ancient Greek, and Mathematics. She spent eleventh grade learning at the orthodox Lauder Midrasha in Berlin. Ela studied horn at the conservatories of Stuttgart (Germany) and Bern (Switzerland), where she received her diploma in 2008. Among her awards in music were five National prizes at the German and Swiss music competitions for youth and among her academic awards two Prizes at the ancient language competition “Humanismus heute.” In 2006, Ela was accepted into the G.C. Starck Foundation and in 2010, into the German National Academic Foundation. Ela is a rising Sophomore at Yale University, majoring in History and Philosophy, and serves as president of the German Society and co-president of the Young Israel House at Yale.
