Gabriel SlamovitsNew York University Track 2: Seminar Leader Allan Arkush Gabriel Slamovits (New York University) is from Englewood, New Jersey. After graduating from the Ramaz Upper School in Manhattan, Gabe spent a year pursuing Judaic studies at Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi in Jerusalem. He returned to New York as a National Merit Scholar, Presidential Honors Scholar, and NYU Merit Scholar at the College of Arts and Science (CAS) of New York University. He recently graduated summa cum laude and received a B.A. with highest honors in “Linguistics and Literature,” a self-designed honors major. He also holds minors in “Jewish History and Civilization” and “Web Programming and Computer Applications.” While at NYU, Gabe served as President of Hillel, and prior to that, as its Religious Life and Pluralism Chair. He also was a Justice on the NYU Peer Judicial Board. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Red Dragon Society of NYU CAS, and the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, in which he held the position of Vice Chair of Jewish Life. He has been accepted as an M.D. candidate at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. |
