Hillel BroderQueens College Hillel Broder, his wife, Eva, and their newborn son Moses live in Mt. Vernon, NY, where until recently, they were "Community Kollel" fellows, assisting the rabbi with informal sermons, and leading adult bible study, religious services, and youth groups. Hillel is a full-time high school teacher at Yeshiva University High School for Boys (YUHSB); and full-time graduate student of literature at Queens College. At YUHSB, Hillel also participates in and is mentored through the Avi Chai Foundation’s “Jewish New Teacher’s Program” (JNTP), and he advises college-bound seniors as a college guidance counselor. Hillel's current academic interest is in the intersection of critical theory, German modernism, midrash, and biblical narratology. |
