Liat SivekBen Gurion University
Track 2: Seminar Leader Allan Arkush Liat Sivek (Ben Gurion University of the Negev) was born and raised in central Israel, and graduated with honors from Amit Renanim High School in Ra’anana. After completing her military service as an Air Force Intelligence instructor, Liat began her undergraduate studies at Ben Gurion University where she is currently majoring in Jewish and General History. Last summer (2009), Liat was chosen to join the Zalman Shazar Center for Jewish History research delegation to the Ukraine, with the purpose of documenting former centers of Jewish life, and is still involved in ongoing research based on materials gathered during the course of her stay in Ukraine. Liat lives in the Negev south of Beersheva in the first student village to be established by the Ayalim Association for the Settlement of the Negev and Galilee.
