Track 2: Seminar Leader Allan Arkush Mitzi Steiner (Barnard College) is from Los Angeles and is a rising junior at Barnard College where she is majoring in American Studies and Human Rights. She has been elected class president of the junior class and is on the board of the Columbia/Barnard Hillel as its education coordinator. In the past, she has served as president of Hillel’s Beit Midrash Committee and as founding president of the Jewish Education Workshop. Fascinated by the role of religion in the Civil Rights Movement, she performs oral histories with activists from the period while interning for the Columbia University Oral History Research Office. Prior to college, she studied at Nishmat and spent two summers learning at Drisha. |
