Molly KatzColorado College
Track 1: Seminar Leader Leora Batnitzky Molly Katz (Colorado College) will be entering her senior year at the Colorado College. She is currently completing a double major in History/Political Science and Classics/English. She has been on the dean’s list each year. She is especially interested in political theory and has done advanced coursework on Rousseau’s Emile and Plato’s Republic. This year, she has been using her knowledge of Greek to gain a greater understanding of a variety of Platonic dialogues, including The Apology of Socrates. Molly recently completed an undergraduate thesis in English on Shakespeare’s portrayal of the theater’s role in politics. Next year, she will be writing an honors thesis on the Republic. Outside of class, Molly serves as a member of the editorial staff of the Rocky Mountain Undergraduate Review, an undergraduate journal for work in the social sciences. Molly is also currently working on Le Cygne: Journal of the International Marie de France Society, in the capacity of student editor.
