Ori ShlomaiBar Ilan University
Track 3: Seminar Leader Alan Mittleman Ori Shlomai (Bar Ilan University) was born and raised in Kiryat Motzkin, Israel. He graduated High School (Yeshiva) in Kiryat Shmuel, Haifa. Ori attended the “Hesder” program in the Golan Heights and served in the Israeli Defense Forces in the armored corps . Currently, Ori is completing his L.L.B in Bar Ilan’s faculty of law after an internship at the Israeli Supreme Court at Judge Rubinstein's chambers . Ori was an Assistant Editor of Bar-Ilan Law Faculty Law Review "Law Studies". In addition, he was a research assistant of Prof. Shahar Lifshitz in the following topics: Family and Contract Law especially dealing with the conflicts between the civil and religious laws. Ori appeared on the Dean's List (2007-2009). In 2006-2009 Ori volunteered in the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists (IAJLJ) and was an editorial member of Justice- the IAJLJ journal. Nowadays, Ori assists Prof. Shahar Lifshitz at the Israeli Democracy Institute in writing and editing articles on the subject of Human Rights in the Jewish tradition.
