Rebecca WasermanYork University Summer 2009 - Track 3 (Advanced) Rebecca Waserman recently completed her first year of Law school at the Osgoode Hall Faculty of Law of York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Prior to beginning her legal studies, she studied classical Jewish texts for a semester at the Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. She received her Hons. B.A. from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in English but also took courses in Religion, Philosophy, and Political Science. Rebecca was the recipient of a Canada Millennium National In-Course Excellence Award scholarship for her final two years as an undergraduate for both her academic performance and her extracurricular commitments, including a stint as "Opinions" editor of her college student newspaper at the UofT, as well as co-pioneering (with a Muslim fellow student) a forum for students to discuss Canadian and American national interests in the Middle East and their shared global responsibilities. |
