Sam Geller (Reed College) was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He intends to write a senior History thesis next year about some aspect of Hannah Arendt's life and thought. He was a two-term student body senator at Reed College, and will be the manager of the student-run coffee shop next year. This summer he worked construction in the art department for the independent film Beasts of the Southern Wild being filmed outside New Orleans, Louisiana and he recorded an album in Memphis, Tennessee with his garage rock band.
