Track 2: Seminar Leader Allan Arkush Shlomo E. Zuckier (Yeshiva University), 22, a Teaneck, NJ, native, is a rising senior at Yeshiva College in Washington Heights, NY. Majoring in Philosophy and Jewish Studies, he is taking part in the BA/MA program at Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, and hopes to complete an MA in Bible by next September. He has also begun Rabbinical school at RIETS, and formerly spent 3.5 years in Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush). This past semester, he taught weekly shiurim at the Columbia and NYU Hillels. Shlomo has been co-editor of several books on Jewish Law and Thought (Shtilei Etzion, Minkhah Tehorah [Hebrew], and Bein Hashurot [Hebrew]), and has been on the editorial board for the student publications Beit Yitzchak (Hebrew, Talmud and Halakhah articles) and Gesher (academic Jewish studies articles). He is former Associate Editor and incoming Editor-in-Chief of Kol Hamevaser, YU’s undergraduate journal of Jewish thought. |
