Educational Programs

Tikvah’s central mission is to form young Jews with moral confidence and civic courage, informed by the hard-won lessons of Jewish history and devoted to strengthening Jewish civilization in the many arenas of civic life. We offer a variety of programs—including summer institutes, online courses, and year-long seminars—to students in 6-12th grade, gap year, and university.

Around seminar tables and Zoom rooms, our students are engaged in serious study, exploration, and debate of the big ideas that animate our traditions. We explore the Hebrew Bible—the most significant and central book in Jewish and Western Civilization—for enduring moral and political wisdom. Through the careful study of primary texts, we grapple with Western conceptions of virtue, knowledge, law, and justice. Finally, our courses examine the foundations of the American Experiment, and the key debates and moments that shaped Zionism and modern Israel.
