In the 2024 winter-spring term, we invite you to explore the heroic Jewish return to self-reliance. The establishment of the State of Israel provided not merely a safe haven for individual Jews, but an opportunity for robust national expression and self-defense.
At a time when many loud voices are challenging our people’s right to a seat among the world’s sovereign nations, we should take the opportunity to educate ourselves, and to be inspired by those who created and those who sustain the miracle of Israel.
We encourage you to take a stand for Israel by convening discussion groups that delve into this incredible story. To aid students in this, we have created a collection of books, films, podcast series, and tailored readers that can be used as guides for these gatherings. Tikvah will provide each campus chapter with a budget for books, food, and other course materials. We can also help to arrange for facilitators and/or guest speakers.
Presidents who create a Jewish Courage and Zionist Spirit chapter on their campus will be invited to attend the Redstone Leadership Forum in Florida from February 18th through 20th with all expenses paid. Attendees will participate in high level seminars, discuss their leadership experiences on campus, and network with Tikvah’s extensive legal, political, journalistic, and educational network. Presidents will also receive up to $250 in additional book stipends from Tikvah’s reading list or the Koren library at the end of the spring semester.
